I received my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) degrees in clinical psychology from the Washington School of Professional Psychology in Seattle. I completed my internship at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. I am a licensed psychologist (PY3662) in Washington State. This means that, in addition to completing my doctoral degree, I fulfilled rigorous state requirements for clinical hours and supervision, and passed both national and state examinations.
My clinical training and experience has covered the full range of psychological services, from community mental health and psychological testing to in-depth psychotherapy.
Settings in which I have practiced include college counseling centers, low-fee community clinics, and the psychiatric emergency room of a university hospital. I attend a variety of professional meetings throughout the year and consult with colleagues regularly about my work.
In addition to my degrees in psychology, I hold a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Pomona College.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association, Division 39 (Psychoanalysis) of the American Psychological Association, the Washington State Psychological Association, and the Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study.
